Irene G. PT, DPT, CMTPT, Cert.VRS

Owner | Marketing Director | Physical Therapist

Irene was born and raised in Salem MA, but she had a unique upbringing being in a Greek household. She was brought up going to Greek Sunday school and giving back to the community. Being that her parents were Greek they decided to move back to the homeland and Irene had to quickly adapt to the Greek lifestyle/ education which allowed her to adapt to changes well.

She finished middle/high school in Greece, but she knew in her heart that she couldn’t stay so post-graduation she moved back to the states. She proceeded to complete her BS in Biology at Salem State University in 2004 and her Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree at Franklin Pierce University in 2009.

Those who know Irene would say she is funny, caring, nurturing, has a quirky laugh, and is stubborn; a trait most patients love about her. Her determination/passion for patient care drives her to fight for her patients, use varied treatment approaches, and continues to find solutions to their problems or refer them to the appropriate providers that would give them answers.

This passion has influenced her continuous zeal to learn more and attend frequent continuing education seminars. Since graduation, she has gotten her certification in Dry Needling through Myopain Seminars on the entire body (including the pelvic floor); has become certified in Vestibular rehab/Concussion management, and has completed 3 levels of pelvic health training by Herman and Wallace Institute.

After having 2 lovely children, she wanted to change the post-partum deficits in the US and developed a post-partum program to help heal faster, prevent leakage/bowel disturbances, and prevent debilitating pelvic pain that she has observed in countless patients over the years of her practice.

Diagnostic ultrasound imaging has been the most recent advancement in her career, and she hopes to utilize it not only in orthopedic conditions but also in pelvic health.

Being Greek, Irene is big on family time. She loves to cook and spend time with her kids and husband. Creating memories, spending time outdoors, working out, and trying to eat healthily is very important to her and of course, wine/sun is in her blood.
